Lose wieght the easy way। Stop using the everyday methods and you can and will lose wieght.
Low Carb Plans DON'T WORK.
You'll probably find it extremely difficult to get slim using a Low Carb Dieting Plan। Low carb diets have recently become popular over the last couple years, but the problem with low carb menus is that they are too strict and TOO HARD TO FOLLOW for average people. Low carb menus tend to rob your body of too much energy (carbohydrates) and make it nearly impossible to remain on the program for very long. This is why so many dieters find it difficult to follow a strict low carbohydrate menu.
Low Fat Foods DON'T WORK.
You cannot lose weight using Low Fat Diets. Low fat foods have been popular for more than 15 years, but yet our society is getting more overweight as each year passes. This fact alone should tell you that eating a purely low fat menu is not the answer to losing weight.

Selenium and your Thyroid Problems
Selenium is a mineral that has been found to affect the thyroid. Your thyroid is a large endocrine gland located in the back of the neck. It affects your body's growth and functioning. You could call it the master of your metabolism. It appears that Selenium may be effective at slowing down the onset and progression of autoimmune thyroid disease.
Women are most likely to develop thyroid problems as they develop problems seven times more often than men and their risk of developing thyroid problems increases as they age. Of course your chances of developing thyroid problems also increases if members of your family had or has thyroid problems.
Autoimmune thyroid disease is usually a conglomeration of several different types of thyroid disorders caused by the bodies immune system attacking the cells of the thyroid. This can result in hypothyroidism, which is a reduced production of hormones, and hyperthyroidism, which is an excess of thyroid hormone production. Thyroid disease can also be called Grave's Disease and Hashimotos Thyroiditis. All three affect the thyroid but are different.
Autoimmune thyroid disease can be devastating and difficult for your docter to diagnose. You may experience symptoms such as cold sweats, fevers, hair loss, swelling, fatigue, wieght gain and loss, depression, prickly or itchy skin, and constipation amongst other symptoms. These are vague symptoms and many doctors can have a hard time picking Thyroid problems out from the many other possibilities.
Thyroid disease can be caused by a number of different things. If you've been exposed to radiation, sometimes eating too many soy products can cause thyroid disease to act up. There are some heart medications with can cause hypothyroidism. A deficiency of iodine in the diet can lead to Thyroid problems. If you eat to many 'goitrogenic' foods like broccoli and Brussels sprouts you can develop thyroid problems. Lastly, surgery on or around the thyroid can cause problems to develop.
It is thought that a deficiency of Selenium in the diet can also lead to autoimmune thyroid disease. Remember the disease is caused by the immune system attacking the thyroid and Selenium has an effect on the immune system. Selenium may be able to normalize the out of whack immune system in thyroid condition patients.
A Dr. Barbara Gasnier of Medizinische Klinik University, in Germany headed up a study of seventy two women with autoimmune thyroid disease. The women were divided into two groups, one taking a placebo and the other received 200 mcg of Selenium a day. After three months the researchers took blood from each of the women. Nine of the women from the Selenium group had their immune system antibodies return to normal compared to two women of the placebo group. On average the antibodies that attacked the thyroid in the Selenium group decreased forty percent compared to the antibodies of the placebo group which only decreased ten percent.
The daily supplementation of Selenium in this study is higher than the recommended daily intake which is fifty five micrograms. You need to consult a doctor before taking a Selenium supplement in the management of autoimmune thyroid disease.

Importance of water in our diet
One of the factors that affects our serum cholesterol levels is our weight.
"If you are overweight or obese, losing even just a few pounds can help lower your cholesterol level. There is no magical formula for weight loss, of course, but reducing portion sizes and cutting out things you can easily live without, such as sweetened beverages, is a good place to start. The average American now gets more than 20 percent of calories from beverages, many of them sweetened with sugar. Switching to diet sodas or water is painless and can make a big difference in total calories.
By eliminating this source of calories, can help lower our weight, and we will notice a decrease in serum cholesterol levels at the same time.
And According to F. Batmanghelidj, M.D. ©...
"Water itself - not caffeinated beverages that further dehydrate - is a better cholesterol-lowering medication than any chemical on the market. It is absolutely safe and not harmful to the body, like the dangerous medications now used. Try it out.
For more information about my medical breakthrough on the topic of chronic unintentional dehydration and the diseases it causes click the side of this.
For every one serving of a caffeinated beverage we should drink one equal serving of water to help balance out the effects of the caffeine.
I enjoy starting my day off with a tall glass of cold water, and will drink water with meals, and throughout the day.
Physiologists have recommended that by drinking enough water, we can also avoid the "false hunger" that causes us to eat more than we should, allowing us to take in more calories than we can process, resulting in more fat, and higher cholesterol.
I know water is not a food, but it is the perfect drink for our bodies. It has zero calories, zero fat, and it goes with everything.
Think about having a tall glass of water next time you're thirsty, your body will thank you.

How to Lose Weight Fast and Easy
You like the title? "How to Lose Weight Fast and Easy" Yeah if it's fast and easy it's for us. Nothing like instant gratification, right? Unfortunately my friends nothing worth while in life is easy. Yes, not even losing weight. But with a little planning this holiday season it doesn't have to be as difficult as it was in the past.
Yep the holidays are a coming...You all know what that means. We are all going to gorge ourselves to death, but that's OK because as soon as the holidays are over we are going to start that diet. You know, the one we start every year after the holidays...It's the "it's ok that I eat like a pig now diet, because after the holidays I will lose it all" The truth is that we all have the right intentions of starting that diet, but in reality it usually lasts for about 2 or 3 weeks and then we slowly but surely little by little are off of it without even knowing it....
The plain and simple fact is that in order to lose weight and keep it off you need to make a lifestyle change. Unfortunately a lot of us weren't born with a super active metabolism. You know those people the ones who can eat everything in site and not gain a pound. What I wouldn't give to be one of them, but reality is what it is and I am not...
So I need to watch myself a little bit more then those lucky few. What do you need to do, ok here it is you've heard it all before people, there is no magic cure. To lose weight you need to burn more calories then you take in PERIOD. Exercise, Exercise and more Exercise.....Also cutting out a lot of the garbage that you eat couldn't hurt either. What type of exercise is entirely up to you, obviously it should be something that you will enjoy doing, i.e. walking, running, bicycling, swimming, any sports, etc you get the picture...
Here is the secret, you need to start now and don't wait until after the holidays when you put on the extra pounds...See it's not that hard..:)...Listen it really is that simple the problem is that most of us are lazy and if we don't see instant results we give up...Stick with it, next summer is not that far off. If you start now you'll be ready for the summer...By the way there are some good supplements and products out there that do work, but remember you need to do your part as well. You can't expect to sit on your butt all day eating your Twinkies and then take a magic pill that will make your pounds melt away, sorry it doesn't exist...not yet anyway. But if you do your part there are some products that will help. Good Luck!!!

Best Weight Loss Plan
When it comes for weight loss plan and programs, the internet is full of such plans, articles and suggestion people make. Whether we talk about some woman's personal plan or a doctor's program we receive tons of ideas and places to start from. Where to start from? Is there any secret weight loss program people could use? There's no secret anymore the fact that people are different and they need different diets. So, you might be one of the lucky people who can eat the food you want and lose the weight you hate so much. Yes, you could: provided that you find the perfect diet or the perfect weight loss program. But really, is there such a thing?
There are diet programs that encourage people to consume healthy, ordinary foods, but in the meantime they propose a good exercise program and a positive attitude. Such weight loss programs are usually easier to follow, and their cost is a reasonable one. The problem with these programs is that, even though people know what to eat, they lack the time, mood or energy to do it. A diet high in fruits and vegetables has a multitude of benefits, but sad enough most of the people are either "too busy" or "too in a hurry" to stick to it.
Many private medical and governmental organizations recommend up to 9 servings of fruits and vegetables. It has been proven that a diet consisting of fruits and vegetables is not only an effective weight loss program, but also a healthy program for anyone to use, no matter if they are interested in losing weight or improving their lifestyle.
A weight loss plan should help you change your habits and your silhouette without making major changes in your schedule and budget. A nutritionist or a specialized doctor would be the best advisor in this issue as he/she will be able to identify and settle a customized diet plan for you. People like being treated customarily and in this case this is not about being fancy, but about being offered a perfect weight loss program. You and your doctor need to identify your nutritional needs and adjust your eating habits in the best way possible.
Many people consider the weight loss as a chronic endeavor. Much too often, the desired weight loss appears to be nothing but a temporary change and it is followed by a steady regain of the many pounds one so very often suffers to lose. Even the most popular diets seem to be unsuccessful in the long run mainly because they fail to address the multi-faceted nature of what successful, permanent weight loss entails. But researches have proven that there are many invaluable strategies which can be helpul in increasing your odds of permanent weight loss. In order to follow a long term weight loss success, it is advisable to use the best strategies available today.
The most effective strategies that should be part of any permanent weight loss program are: exercises, pumping iron, keeping a diary, finding out what's really "eating" you, joining a weight management group, control of your portions, losing weight step by step, slowing down, eating less or no fat at all, opting for raw food and keeping aside artificial foods and beverages. Everything should be included in a wisely made plan with the ultimate purpose of making you feel and look good.

7 Secrets to Weight Loss Success: Part 1
Take a minute and think about the word "diet ". What immediately comes to your mind ?
If you are anything like me, its words like deprivation, depressing , drudgery, hardship or disappointing --- talk about negativity! No wonder diets don't work.... they are so difficult!
So how does one lose weight? The first secret to ensuring weight loss success is to take some time to plan and prepare what you going to eat. That may be difficult to hear, but its true. Lasting change won't happen unless you plan for it.
Planning seems so impractical in this "obesogenic" we live in. What do I mean by that? Everywhere you look there is food or an advertisement encouraging us to think about food and eat, eat, eat! As a result, it becomes second nature to overeat and gain weight as a result.
If we don't think about what we're going to eat ahead of time and plan our meals and snacks, we are then left at the mercy of these messages that come at us from all sides at all times of the day and night ---" Taco Bell's open late" or what is commonly heard in fast food restaurants, "For only 30 more cents you can supersize your order and get twice as much. What a deal!"
If we don't prepare ahead and have some kind of plan to deal with these messages, then the sights, sounds and smells of food (that maybe we don't even really want to eat) becomes just too much for us .
One thing that's very helpful in planning is to prepare some lower calorie snacks that you can carry with you at all times-- put some in your desk drawer at work, in your purse, in your car --so that when you get hungry you've got something handy that you can snack on that will squash those hunger pangs. What are some snacks that you could choose? Raisins and apricots or really any dried fruit are good choices. Did you know that now you can even buy an individually packaged dried plums? A couple or three of those make a wonderful snack that can kind help get you over the hump. Of course fresh fruit is an excellent option, too.
Small packaged bags of nuts or even a granola bar would work. Have you noticed how many varieties of granola bars are out there now on the market? Make sure and examine labels carefully, as some contain very few vitamins and minerals and usually loads of sugar. All Bran has some new ones that are relatively high in fiber and low in calories. Another tasty one is Country Choice Organic Oatmeal Squares. These are loaded with fiber, good taste and a relatively small amount of calories, however they are not sugar-free. By the time you finish eating the bar you feel satisfied, not like you've got to order some French fries at McDonald's to get filled up!
Try not to go more than 3 or 4 hours without eating; plan the times for your meals and snacks. Research has shown that people who eat on a regular basis have an easier time with weight loss. You don't have to eat large meals, maybe it's only 500 calories every three or four hours. This way it's easier to avoid high calorie binges, because you never allow yourself to become super hungry at any time during the day.
How many of you can relate to this--its Monday morning and you skip breakfast (thinking you'll cut down on calories) before you head off to work. By midmorning your stomach is growling and you are so hungry you go out to get a drink of water at the fountain down the hall, and in the process pass by the employee break room. What's on the table but a nice, fresh box of Krispy Krème donuts ... hard to resist even when you're not hungry... but when you're super hungry, it's downright impossible to resist!
Now what would have the situation been like if you would have started the day with a nice filling breakfast ? (This doesn't have to be a lot of calories, by the way.) Then when you see that box of Krispy Kremes they might not look quite so enticing. Granted, they will probably always look tempting, but it will be easier for you to pass them by because your stomach is not growling and you are not in such a terrible state of misery. Planning ahead does pay off.

Bulk up Muscle and Gain Weight Through Diet and Exercise
If you want to know how to gain weight and bulk up muscle, then be prepared to revised some of your ideas on what dieting really is. It is not just a matter of eating less in order to lose weight, but also of eating to gain weight. And what you eat is not necessarily chocolate cake, but it could be!
There is no difference between losing weight and gaining weight other than the amount of exercise you carry out, or, to put it more scientifically, how many calories you burn. Many people don't believe in calorie counting, but something has to be counted to measure the energy you take in and that you use up in exercise. Whether it is calories or any other energy measurement doesn't matter, so I will call them calories.
If you eat more calories that you use in exercise, you put on weight. If you eat less calories than you use in exercise you lose weight. If you want to lose weight then do the latter, and do the former if you want to gain weight. There is not getting away from that basic equation, irrespective of how you calculate your energy intake and usage, or whether you eat sausages and an Atkins diet, or lettuce and a rabbit diet, or even chocolate cake on a chocolate cake diet. It makes absolutely no difference. It is cast in stone!
So eat your sausages and bacon, or eat your lettuce and carrots, and enjoy your chocolate cake with ice cream or snails. If you want to gain weight and bulk up muscle you have to eat more calories than you use, and that's a lot of carrots! Especially when you have to work those muscles very hard that you want to develop, and use up your calorie intake that way. Recommended foods for building muscle are high protein foods such as chicken and steak, and also fat if you want, but you have to work a bit harder to use up the fat calories. Chocolate cake will take a long time, but you can do it.
Also, make sure that you have a good intake of the chemicals needed for your metabolism, such as L-carnetine and Coenzyme Q10 that enable you to convert fats to energy, and you will find it easier to make your goals. However, the whole equation rests on energy in and energy out. Take in calories, and then work the muscles you want to build up. That increases the blood flow through those muscle tissues, and builds them up by creating more muscle tissue.
The muscle tissue will be increased by the amount of energy you take in over what you use in exercise, and the paradox is that if you exercise too much, you will first build up the muscle tissue, and then remove it because it will be needed to provide the energy, or calories, for the excess exercise. When the body needs calories for exercise, it will first use up what is provided form the normal diet. When it has used that up it will use up the energy stored in liver's glycogen reserves and then start using muscle tissue.
That is why you have to take supplements while body building: because your normal food sources are providing insufficient calories for the muscle mass you are trying to build up. The secret of body building, and bulking up your muscle weight is to make sure that you are taking in the calories needed for all that heavy anaerobic exercise you are carrying out. Anaerobic exercise uses fat deposits and calorie intake to provide energy for the muscle building process, while aerobics strengthen the cardiovascular system and the lungs.
There are many arguments as to what diet should be followed when building muscle bulk: high protein, complex carbohydrates, or whatever. The end result is that it doesn't matter too much. You have to take in more calories than you use in your exercising to gain weight, and must exercise your muscles while using up these calories to bulk up muscle.
That is the start and the end of the calorie intake-usage equation whether you eat chicken or chocolate cake and ice cream. I know which I prefer, but I also know what is quickest!

How To Get Faster Fat Burning Results: The Secret Tool To Achieving The Body You Want
Are you sick and tired of not knowing if you are on the right track to lose unwanted belly fat? If you have been trying to rid yourself of unwanted belly fat and achieve lean legs, reduce thighs, and have a flat stomach then you need the proper tools in which to do this, which the scale is not. The best tool I have found to do this is called a body fat tester.
Some women ask if the scales that detect your body fat work. The answer is "No".
These types of scales don't account for dehydration. For example you could step on it in the morning and be 28% body fat then later in the day you step on it again it says 33%. Fluctuations in water within your body will vary weekly as well as daily. If you have are holding water in your body, especially during your monthly cycle the results will vary. It can be frustrating and overwhelming too. Electrical devices which you simply hold are not effective as I mentioned earlier. This is not to be confused with the digital calipers which can also measure your body fat.
If you are working with a professional that can track your body fat, most likely they will take it with caliper, which is a body fat tester. How does body fat tester work? It works by a simply pinching skin in designated sites on the body. The product comes along with a guide and sites for you to measure.
Can I use a body fat tester on myself? Yes you can.
Keeping track of your body fat by testing it will actually get you results quicker. Why? Think of it this way, if were in sales and you had a monthly quota to reach you figure out how many sales you would have to make in a day or week in order to get to your goal. Additionally, by tracking it you would also figure out after each sale what you did that worked as well as the sales that you didn't get to keep you on track of your monthly goal. This is how your brain works..when it is given a set of instructions in this case your body fat goal. It will find a way to keep on top on your goal and if you need to tweak your program it will make adjustments or in this case you would simply post your question on the forum.
For example: "I have been tracking my body fat using the calipers and for the past 3 weeks nothing is changing what can I do to get my body fat moving in the right direction?"
From there you will be able to get the answers quickly with this question along with explaining what your are doing with your nutrition and training. Finally women can take control and feel good about measuring their fat loss progress by understanding how this tool works and detach their once scale mentality.
What about weighing myself, why do so many programs focus on weight loss rather than fat loss?
Because weighing yourself is only a small portion of the picture to measuring results. Remember muscle weighs more than fat. So many women will get discouraged when weighing themselves right after they implement a fat loss program, as they tend to see the scale go up. What you need to realize is that your body will fluctuate when you start working out, especially with weights you tend to retain what is called inter cellular fluid (water weight).
How accurate is a body fat test? The secret is really the same method and the same tester when using a body fat test. I like to use a 9 site reading but to get more information about the body fat and it's sums. However, don't be concerned about that, as I mentioned the key is the same method and the same tester. You could even have a friend, husband, or boyfriend perform the testing if you want as well. Do you want to know how Accu measure body fat tester works in your fat loss program.

There is No Secret to Weight Loss
There is no secret to weight loss, there I said it! We have all heard the rants entitled the secret to weight loss, the miracle diet and all those other generic slogans that are designed to get us to read yet another sales pitch on some miracle diet that will get them pounds gone and gone fast. The key word being fast, we live in a busy time and none of us seem to have the time to follow the fundamental weight loss systems. Let me begin by saying your weight, whether you are obese, a little heavy, carrying that holiday weight or whatever your current situation is not your fault. We are victimized daily by junk food chains or even relatively healthy eateries that offer that extra huge serving just for you! From the day we are old enough to comprehend to the day we die, and we are victimized. This is nothing new; it has been a prevalent part of our society for many, many years. The mass media is used as a tool by anyone who wishes to make a buck. The media is a sales mule, guised under the cloak of information, but a sales tool all the same. Turn on a TV and there it is, eat this, drink this, take this, buy, buy, buy, or more to the point consume, consume, consume. So again your weight is not your fault, but it is your responsibility. The first thing to decide if you are keen on losing weight is this, do you want to just lose the weight or do you wish to get in shape and stay in shape without needing to fight with weight gain for the rest of your life. If you wish to only lose weight then this article may be of little help to you, but if your goals are to lose weight, keep it gone and develop a lifestyle that means living free of the threat of weight gain then please read on. Sustained weight loss can only be found in one place, the mind. You have been trained since birth by the media to desire more than you need, some of this may be good, but there is a lot of it that is bad. The good can be the desire to achieve the best in life, good education, nice house, general comfort in lifestyle. The bad is where you are tricked into believing more is better by industries that thrive on your consumption. Such industries like fast food, tobacco are the most obvious and dubious, but consider the food industry in general, do you really need to super size just because it is better value for your buck, and ask yourself why it is better value? The answer is obvious is it not, because more consumption equals greater profits! These industries are willing to give larger portions of food at a cheaper price because they are in fact training you to believe that more is better, by doing this the food industries are increasing over all consumption, quantity is where these large industries make their profits, just look at all the "All you can eat" franchises, sure they say it's healthy in some of them all you can eat salad bars etc, but too much even of a good thing is still bad! Take one second and think on this, lets us say that you are looking at two sub sandwich stores, store A offers a good sized sub for $3, in fact the sandwich is exactly the right amount to slake your hunger, now store B has a big sign that says 20% more meat in our sub, but is also $3, which would you buy? Most of us wouldn't hesitate and Store B would rake in our business, but really do you need that extra 20%? We as consumers are always looking for the best bargain for our dollar, but in the end is over eating really a bargain we wish to be a part of it, look at what it is really costing you, your self esteem, your fitness and mostly your health! With heart disease, diabetes and obesity on the rise in so many places, I will say it again; the push towards over consumption by the food industry has the stench of big tobacco all over it. Losing weight is a very difficult process for those of us who suffer from over eating, for many of us food has become an addiction, much akin to Tobacco. As with any addiction the first step is realizing that you are in fact addicted, after that the next and most crucial step in de-toxing that addiction from your body and more importantly from your mind, is to reprogram yourself, to solely retrain your body and mind to crave only what it needs, this is the real challenge in maintaining weight loss! I will sum up a few points that may help you get on the path to healthier food consumption: * Just because you feel hungry there is no need to completely fill the tank, instead consider your expected activities on that day and eat accordingly, just like your car, if you are only driving to the end of the street you don't need a full tank of gas! * Do not binge eat, you can starve yourself and effectively shrink your stomach size (a practice I am very much against, but using as an example here), but with only one gorge binge session you will effectively revert your appetite back to an unhealthy level and begin feeling hungry all over again, a binge eating session is much the same as an alcoholic falling off the wagon, instead I recommend many small healthy meals throughout the course of the day! * Realize that junk food tastes great for one reason only, to get you hooked! It does not constitute food in any way shape or form, remove it from your diet and believe me you will not miss it once the addiction fades It all comes down to a single phrase which you will have heard before. Healthy mind equals a healthy body! For some more information and recipes that will help you on the road to a healthier life, take a look at the following site: http://www.inform4free.com

Raising Metabolism - Lose Weight Quickly by Boosting Metabolism
Anyone who is serious about fitness and weight loss knows that raising metabolism plays a huge role in helping you get down to the size and weight you want to have. By raising your metabolism, your body will be able to process the food you've taken in much faster and use up the calories, making sure that they won't linger in your body and eventually turn into fat.
So what are the secrets to raising metabolism? Believe it or not, it doesn't take a lot of effort. Here are some great tips to keep in mind.
1) Get plenty of sleep. Lack of sleep has a negative effect on your bodily functions and can throw your metabolism off track. This also impairs your body's ability to break down carbohydrates, which will lead to fat storage.
2) Drink water regularly. Water regulates your metabolic processes.
3) Don't starve yourself. Some people who want to lose weight tend to think that skipping meals is the secret. This is entirely false. When you starve yourself, your body's metabolism slows down and hangs onto your fat stores for nourishment. Make sure to eat small meals or snacks throughout the day, but remember not to overeat!
4) Choose metabolism-boosting foods. You not only have to eat in moderation, you should also eat smart. High-protein and fiber-rich foods are your best bets.
5) Move it. Exercise is indeed your best friend when it comes to losing weight. You need to be able to burn more calories than what you eat; and losing them through high-impact exercises makes this happen.
A reminder: Just make sure that you don't just focus on raising metabolism if you want to lose weight. Weight loss is a process involving not just faster metabolism, but also adequate exercise, proper diet, and a healthy lifestyle.
